Prevention of Mers CoV

Until now, there is no specific vaccine, in order to prevent a new type of virus, corona virus group, causes disease Sybdrome Middle East Respiratory Corona Virus (Mers CoV). However, prevention can still be done, by strengthening the body's immunity. Until now, treatment given, only focused on the treatment of complications of this disease.
Prevention of transmission of Mers CoV, is preferred for the time being, especially for Muslims who would worship Hajj or Umrah, a few things that help prevent the transmission is:
1. Always perform a clean healthy lifestyle, with diligent hand washing with soap, eat nutritious, well-rested, and so on. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth using unwashed hands.
2. Avoid eating sugary foods, fried foods, and cold drinks, because the food and the drink, can weaken the immune system.
3. Prevention of transmission of respiratory infections, such as the use of a mask when coughing in public places.
4. Sensitivity to the possibility of respiratory tract infection pain, do not underestimate the complaints of cough, fever, and so on.
5. If there is a suspicion of infectious disease (rapid deterioration in 1-2 days, contact history, etc.) then it should be immediately referred to the appropriate health facility, and maintained the possibility of contagion.
6. Avoid contact with Mers CoV, including use eating utensils and drinking together.
7. Follow the continued development of correct information about Mers CoV, and do not hesitate to ask, and consultation with our medical officer.
8. Additional Precautions for Hajj or Umrah pilgrims are, influenza vaccine and pneumonia vaccine (pneumonia). Does not prevent transmission of Mers CoV, but can reduce the risk of transmission, because Mers CoV more easily transmitted when we are exposed to influenza.
